Trichocereus huanucoensis was originally brought to the United States by Harry Johnson in the 1950’s and several botanical gardens have different seed grown specimens of this type . It was named after the area it was collected and may not be an actual species of its own .  Hbg stands for “Huntington Botanical Gardens” and the number 18568 is their reference number to the plant .
You will receive this exact cutting , it is very healthy and fat with a perfect tip and clean callous that is ready to ship and ready to plant .  Over 3” fat . Beautiful blue powdery Huano with a kiss shaped marking on each notched areola .  This species grows very thick and this exact cultivar does tend to grow monstrose and weird shapes and often gets a large four ribbed style growth . Its spines can grow both long and short and are thick . This cultivar is difficult to obtain and is referred to as a “White Whale”. 🐋
