“TEX the ZONI” - “Texas”

Trichocereus Bridgesii. I received this cultivar in person from a cactus collector in San Diego several years ago .  She had many different varieties of cacti and the motherstand of this was really huge and quite impressive . She told me a story of how she moved to California from Arizona many years ago and cacti was something she missed tremendously from her home state .  Her  friend brought this cultivar from Arizona as a gift for her to remember home State.  
  The Southern California stand still towers in San Diego today and is well cared for by its loving owner. It has been nicknamed “Texas” because of the street it lives on , yet the true story behind the clone is it was brought to California from Arizona hence “Tex the Zoni” . If you have purchased “Texas” from other vendors this is it . Not to be confused with Texas torch . 
It does get monstrose growth with smooth rib-Less sides and also gets strange rib shifting tips . This cutting is currently growing quite normal and it is a very clean cut with a perfect callous.
