This is one of my beautiful "Brevi" ! The cactus is in the trichocereus family and considered a type of "San Pedro cactus" . It's quite the contrast to most trichos having numerous ribs and extremely short, strong spines! It is extremely notchy, making it an excellent breeder for appearance. It really looks like a corn cob to me, quite attractive , and a stand out cacti among a crowd !!
Grows great in a pot, tends to get a lot of basal pups and can often branch. Good for propagating, this cactus roots fast and strong. It puts out many pups when it's cut, which makes it a cool short stand . It gets a beautiful white flower with dark exterior edges. This bloom has a sweet floral scent .
Most of my Brevi don't get very tall - they tend to break if they get to fat and heavy, and they usually grow to about 4-5 feet before leaning over - my tallest one made it to six foot and then I cut it before it fell. I've noticed if I plant these at an angle they put out basal pups and branch faster . They work well for grafting, because they hold the scion tight and they also hold the grafting tape or rubber bands easily.
I cut this 4 days ago , so it’s very fresh and ready to ship to you ASAP !!! All sides of this cactus are pictured
